Position Summary
The Rebuild Carpenter is a hands-on role focused on skilled carpentry and finish work across residential reconstruction projects. This position leads smaller jobs, punch list items, and warranty repairs while actively performing high-quality carpentry work in the field. The ideal candidate is a strong carpenter first, with the ability to manage job flow, coordinate materials, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and to company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and lead all aspects of finish and rough carpentry work.
- Complete framing, build-outs, trim, and detailed finish carpentry.
- Install cabinets, doors, windows, and interior finishes.
- Perform drywall installation, patching, and finishing as needed.
- Complete interior and exterior painting to a professional standard.
- Install and repair flooring (LVP, hardwood, tile).
- Perform minor siding, fascia, and exterior carpentry repairs.
- Handle punch list items and warranty repairs with attention to detail.
- Assist with minor electrical and plumbing tasks within scope.
- Coordinate materials, tools, and daily jobsite workflow.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, building codes, and customer expectations.
- Communicate progress, issues, and completion status to management.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands-on carpentry experience (residential or light commercial).
- Strong expertise in framing, trim, finish carpentry, and installations.
- Experience with reconstruction, remodeling, or restoration work preferred.
- Ability to independently run smaller jobs and complete tasks start-to-finish.
- High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in the field.
- Ability to manage multiple small projects and deadlines.
- Working knowledge of related trades (drywall, painting, flooring, etc.).
- Effective communication with team members, customers, and management.
- Ability to document work and maintain job records as needed.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Active construction and restoration job sites.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and ladder use.
- Ability to work in varying conditions (heat, cold, confined spaces, heights).
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Hours vary based on job site needs
- Overtime, weekends, and early start times may be required
