What You Will Do
This position reports to the Director of Engineering. You will be developing written and computer-based training on various aspects of industrial control systems, including PLC and SCADA systems, evaluating new technologies, and other tasks to support our project delivery teams in their goal to provide the highest quality professional services to our customers.
A Typical Day at Prime Controls

Work with the training department to develop and execute training for Automation Specialists and other technical employees. Including how to develop the following:

BOMs, IO lists, and requirements for control panels

PLC programs in Ladder, Function Block, and other languages

Human Machine Interface (HMI)
-
hardware and software test plans and writing simulation logic for the testing of the PLC and HMI system

Test new products and technologies

Develop and evolve company standards for design and programming

Work with manufacturers and vendors to help make training available to our employees

Works with others to address design issues as necessary

May help project delivery teams to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues as necessary
What You Will Bring
The Basic
-
5 years of industrial automation experience
-
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, related Bachelor’s discipline, related degree from a Technical College or equivalent Industrial controls experience

Excitement around new technologies and exploring new ways to perform work

Experience with modern Logix-based control systems from Rockwell Automation. Schneider Electric and Siemens are a plus. Prime Controls uses a variety of control systems, so an eagerness to learn these different systems is a must.

Experience with modern SCADA systems such as Ignition, AVEVA, Wonderware, VTScada, and FactoryTalk View. Be willing to learn about a variety of SCADA platforms.
