Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and communal spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet maintenance to ensure surfaces are pristine and safe
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness by regularly disposing of trash, replenishing supplies, and sanitizing frequently touched surfaces
- Support hospitality efforts by assisting visitors with directions or information when needed, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures to prevent accidents or injuries in busy public environments
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks efficiently and ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards throughout the day
- Assist with light maintenance tasks or reporting repairs needed in public spaces to ensure continuous functionality
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in industrial cleaning or hospitality settings is highly desirable
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment operation enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Experience working in hotel or hospitality environments provides valuable insight into guest service expectations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards is essential
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while managing multiple responsibilities
- Prior experience with housekeeping management or custodial tasks is a plus but not required
