Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth? The Youth Service Bureau (YSB) is seeking dedicated and compassionate Residential Child Care Workers / Youth Advocates to join our team, working across several of our residential programs. You’ll play a vital role in supporting teenagers as they develop life skills, work toward their goals, and build brighter futures.
This position is full-time, and hours/shifts will vary.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide care and supervision for youth in Residential settings, ensuring a safe, supportive, and positive environment.
- Model appropriate and safe behavior to help residents develop healthy coping and communication skills.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, administer medications as needed, and transport youth to appointments, school, and activities.
- Support residents in building key life skills such as anger management, problem-solving, decision-making, time management, peer relationships, employability, and goal achievement.
- Assist in individual, family, and group counseling sessions as needed.
- Participate in recreational and therapeutic activities that foster personal growth and community connection.
Qualifications
- Position requires you to be at least 21 years of age, have access to a personal vehicle, have a high school diploma and practical experience with youth.
Salary
$15-18/hr BOE
