Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Director to lead our facilities maintenance operations with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and management of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and industrial systems across our manufacturing facilities. Your leadership will ensure all systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Duties
- Lead and manage facilities maintenance teams to ensure timely and effective repair of mechanical systems, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), plumbing, HVAC units, and other critical infrastructure.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (TELS).
- Oversee troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems using.
- Manage projects related to facilities upgrades, system installations, or repairs with a focus on safety regulations, quality standards, and budget adherence.
- Supervise the inspection of mechanical systems using schematics and electrical testing tools; ensure compliance with safety protocols including high voltage safety procedures.
- Coordinate with contractors to diagnose issues involving programmable logic controllers, equipment, or control systems.
- Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and industry best practices while fostering a culture of safety awareness among team members.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and system performance using TELS software for accountability and continuous improvement.
- Manage facilities management operations across multiple manufacturing sites or facilities ensuring optimal functioning of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical infrastructure, and mechanical equipment.
Skills
- Strong management skills with experience supervising diverse maintenance teams in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge including repair of mechanical systems such as conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and HVAC units.
- Knowledge of HVAC system repair, installation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers, industrial automation controls, schematics interpretation, and engineering troubleshooting methods.
- Experience managing facilities maintenance using platforms for work order tracking and asset management.
- Strong project management skills to oversee large-scale repairs or upgrades while managing timelines and budgets effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination.
- Understanding of safety regulations related to electrical work (including high voltage), mechanical repairs, plumbing systems maintenance & repair.
- Leadership qualities with supervising experience in fast-paced manufacturing or industrial settings; ability to motivate teams towards excellence in safety and performance.
