Position Overview
- This position will be a swing shift (12:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m.)
- Monday - Thursday (10-hour days), Friday off. OT when required (but rare).
Key Responsibilities
- Die Installation: Safely load, install, align, and secure dies into presses using forklifts, lift assisting devices, and hand tools.
- Machine Adjustment: Set and adjust machine parameters (e.g., air pressure, stroke, speed, and counter balance) to match quality standards.
- Quality Control: Inspect the first piece produced after a setup to ensure dimensional accuracy and zero defects.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and report mechanical or tooling issues during production runs, minimizing machine downtime.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all OSHA guidelines, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and plant safety regulations.
Required
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in metal stamping, plastic injection molding, or heavy machine setup.
- Manufacturing experience including CNC machines, robot welders, presses, benders.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn.
- Pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
