Maintenance & Grounds Person – Edgewood Estates (Rapid City, SD)
Location: 721 Eldene Ln, Rapid City, SD 57701
Hours: Approximately 25 hours per week, M-F with occasional on call
Pay: $16–$17/hour (DOE)
Benefits: Sick leave accrued after 90 days
About the Position:
Edgewood Estates is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance & Grounds Person to help keep our property looking its best. This part-time position is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive environment for our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic maintenance tasks and minor repairs around the property
- Maintain landscaping and outdoor common areas (mowing, trimming, weeding, debris removal, etc.)
- Clean and maintain exterior areas, including sidewalks, parking lots, and entryways
- Inspect property regularly and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal or leaf cleanup
- Support property management team with other maintenance-related projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance, groundskeeping, or handyman experience required
- Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and general maintenance practices
- Ability to work independently and stay organized
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
