Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Residential Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing bids, and supporting project planning to ensure successful project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and proficiency with industry-specific software tools. The Residential Construction Estimator will collaborate closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver competitive and precise estimates that align with project budgets and timelines. Pay will include 3% of profit on completed quoted work after completed 6 month probationary period.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed construction estimates for residential projects .
- Review architectural plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine scope of work and material requirements.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather accurate data for estimates.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project needs.
- Develop comprehensive cost control strategies to manage budgets effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Price materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services accurately while ensuring competitiveness.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentation of estimates to clients.
- Coordinate with construction management teams to ensure estimates align with project schedules and resource availability.
- Monitor market trends, material costs, and labor rates to maintain up-to-date knowledge for accurate estimating.
- Support and review contractual documents related to project scope and pricing.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating within residential construction projects.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, SketchUp, and construction management software tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, cost control, pricing strategies, and contract management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey messesages to clients, vendors, and team members.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and project management principles.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Experience with construction site safety standards is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in estimating processes.
- Strong Math skills
- Minimum typing skills of 30wpm
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
