Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Endoscopy
Pay: $23.00–$32.00/hour
Location: Winston-Salem, NC
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM or 7:00 AM start
Start Date: ASAP
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled LPN to join a collaborative Endoscopy team. The LPN will work alongside physicians, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff to provide safe, high-quality patient care before, during, and after procedures.
Responsibilities
- Admit and prepare patients for procedures
- Obtain medical histories and vital signs
- Independently start IVs using aseptic technique
- Administer medications as ordered and monitor patient responses
- Assist with endoscopic procedures and patient recovery
- Monitor patients and ensure discharge criteria are met
- Maintain accurate patient documentation
- Follow infection control and patient safety standards
- Assist with room turnover, equipment cleaning, and stocking
- Communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted North Carolina LPN license required
- Current BLS certification
- Strong IV skills and ability to independently start IVs
- Endoscopy, GI, ambulatory surgery, or procedural experience preferred
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Reliable transportation required
- Epic and gMed experience preferred
Additional Information: This is a physically demanding role with nurses caring for up to approximately 17 patients per day and rotating between admission and recovery.
