Home Care Assistance of Albuquerque is now accepting applications for our upcoming Caregiver Training Program.
If you are compassionate, dependable, and looking for a rewarding career, this program provides the training and support needed to become a successful professional caregiver. No prior caregiving experience is required.
We provide paid training, hands-on learning, shadow shifts, and ongoing mentorship to help you build confidence and succeed in your new role.
Training Program Details
Training Dates: July 06 – July 10
Training Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Space is limited. Applicants must complete an interview before acceptance into the program.

What You'll Learn
Our instructor-led training includes classroom education, hands-on practice, and real-world caregiver shadowing.
Training topics include:

Personal care and daily living assistance

Professional caregiving skills

HIPAA and confidentiality

Fall prevention and home safety

Mobility and transfer assistance

Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation awareness

Meal preparation and nutrition
-
Client communication and professionalism
Caregiver Responsibilities
After successfully completing training, caregivers may assist clients with:

Personal care and hygiene
-
Bathing, dressing, and grooming
-
Meal preparation
-
Mobility assistance
-
Light housekeeping
-
Transportation and errands
-
Companionship and emotional support
Qualifications
-
Must be at least 18 years old
-
Reliable transportation required. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license, current vehicle registration, and active auto insurance in their name.

Available between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM

Able to work at least 30 hours per week after training

Must be able to work any shift assigned, including weekends.

Strong communication and professionalism

Authorized to work in the United States

Ability to pass required background and drug screenings
