Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Italian dishes, including a variety of pizzas, pasta, and other traditional specialties, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and food processors safely and efficiently
- Manage food preparation tasks including slicing, dicing, poaching, braising, grilling, and food handling to ensure freshness and quality
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new recipes or modifications based on seasonal ingredients or customer preferences
- Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure high-volume production meets service timelines without compromising quality
- Maintain accurate records of food production, inventory levels, and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations
- Support catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining consistency and flavor integrity
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Italian cook or pizza maker in a restaurant or fine dining setting with a focus on authentic cuisine
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food preparation methods
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures essential for maintaining health standards
- Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in high-volume environments
- Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation for diverse dietary needs
- Previous food service experience within the food industry or catering environments preferred
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward collaborative kitchen operations
