Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, in-person school-based position in Homewood, Illinois for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is within a Special Education Cooperative, offering the opportunity to work with a diverse student population and make a meaningful impact.
Overview
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students ages 3–21 (based on assignment/program)
- Work a consistent 35-hour per week schedule
- Collaborate with special education teams, educators, and families
- Deliver services in a structured, supportive school setting
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language evaluations, screenings, and assessments
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide therapy for articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication disorders
- Maintain documentation, progress reports, and compliance records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and attend IEP meetings
- Support students across a range of developmental and educational needs
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Current Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
