Responsibilities
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process transactions quickly and efficiently
- Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service with a professional phone etiquette
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures
- Assist customers with product inquiries, including conducting product demos and upselling relevant items
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Support inventory management through stocking and merchandising activities to keep the store inviting and organized
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to resolve issues promptly and courteously
Requirements
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate cash handling and transactions
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, to serve diverse customer needs
- Demonstrated supervisory experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately during transactions
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive shopping experiences
- Willingness to assist with product demos, merchandising, stocking, and other store operations as needed
