Summary
This position is responsible for the manufacturing and assembly of clinical and commercial products. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and comfortable working in all areas of a small manufacturing environment as needed.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for assembling and testing all NeurOptics products per work instructions.
- Helps train and mentor new assemblers as needed.
- Troubleshoots problems and makes necessary adjustments to resolve issues.
- Helps create test fixtures when needed.
- Performs rework on cables, PCBA’s, hardware and other electronic components as needed.
- Follows drawings, guidelines and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.
- Maintains production equipment.
- Maintains a clean work area daily by keeping area clean and well organized.
General Responsibilities
- Communicates with various departments including Engineering, Purchasing and Quality.
- Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors
- Reports problems, discrepancies, or rejections to appropriate individual(s)
- Work as an active team member to compete goals in as needed
- Other duties or special projects as needed or assigned by supervisors or VP of Operations
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Must be able to speak and understand Vietnamese.
- Good oral and written communication skills; ability to read work instructions and documents
- Must have good computer skills with Microsoft office.
- Basic Math Skills.
- Good understanding of a manufacturing environment.
- Must have good organization skills.
- Knowledge and/or experience with inventory control.
- Knowledge and experience in AS9100 or ISO regulated environment.
- Ability to cooperate and interact in a courteous and professional manner
- Able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- The ability to follow instructions and procedures.
- Ability to work occasional overtime as needed.
Supervisory Responsibility
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Education/Experience
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- 5 years of manufacturing electro-mechanical experience required.
- IPC certifications a plus.
Work Environment
- This job operates in a typical office environment.
