Hiring Salary Range: $41,600.00 - $ 48,425.00 Full Salary Range: $41,600.00 - $73,176.00 Annually

About the Role:
As a Department Programs Technician (Investigative Aid), you will provide research, administrative, and investigative support to law enforcement detectives. The position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive information while working on multiple investigations. This position is NON-EXEMPT under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Key responsibilities include:-
Utilizing a wide range of databases and information systems to support investigative activities.

Researching information and developing or verifying investigative leads.

Organizing and maintaining case files and related investigative materials.

Contacting witnesses and victims to obtain information and conduct follow-up.

Reviewing and evaluating reports and complaints to help determine appropriate next steps.

Communicating with external agencies to verify information and investigative leads.

Responding professionally to telephone inquiries and directing requests as appropriate.

Maintaining accurate documentation and handling sensitive information with discretion.
The successful candidate must obtain Division of Criminal Information (DCI) Certification from the State of North Carolina within the new-hire probationary period.
