Job Summary
Balance Aesthetics is growing, and we are looking for an exceptional Florida Licensed Massage Therapist to join us in our newly restored 1938 Spa House in downtown Pensacola.
Located adjacent to our established medical aesthetics practice, the Balance Spa House was created as a quieter, more restorative extension of Balance — an elegant, thoughtfully designed setting where clients can slow down, relax and enjoy an elevated spa experience.
We are seeking an experienced, personable massage therapist who would love the independence of building their own practice while enjoying the atmosphere, clientele and support of an established business.
This is an independent contractor, revenue-share opportunity rather than a traditional hourly position. Compensation is based on completed massage appointments, with the therapist receiving an agreed-upon percentage of each service performed.
An existing clientele is preferred, but not required. The right therapist will also have the opportunity to grow their practice through exposure to Balance Aesthetics’ established client community.
What Makes This Opportunity Different
● Beautiful private treatment room within our restored 1938 Spa House
● Convenient downtown Pensacola location with on-site parking
● Established Balance Aesthetics client base
● Flexible scheduling
● Approximately 8 hours per week minimum availability, with the opportunity to add additional days and hours as your clientele grows
● Percentage-based compensation tied directly to completed services
● Ability to bring and continue seeing your existing clientele
● Supportive, upbeat and genuinely enjoyable team environment
● Access to Balance Aesthetics treatments and services at special staff pricing
● Opportunity to grow your massage practice without the expense and responsibility of creating a complete spa environment on your own
Responsibilities
● Provide exceptional, customized massage therapy based on each client’s individual needs and preferences
● Perform massage modalities within your training and scope of practice, which may include Swedish, therapeutic/deep tissue, prenatal, trigger point and other techniques
● Consult with clients before treatment regarding goals, preferences, contraindications and relevant health history
● Maintain appropriate client documentation and treatment notes
● Provide a warm, professional and elevated client experience consistent with the Balance Spa House environment
● Maintain a clean, peaceful and well-prepared treatment space
● Follow all applicable Florida massage therapy regulations, professional standards and safety requirements
● Build lasting relationships with both existing and new clients
Qualifications
● Current and active Florida Massage Therapist license
● Professional liability insurance
● Excellent massage therapy and client-care skills
● Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology and massage contraindications
● Professional, dependable and personable
● Comfortable working independently and managing a flexible appointment schedule
● Existing clientele is a plus
● Previous spa, luxury hospitality, wellness or medical aesthetics experience is a plus, but not required
The Person We’re Looking For
Technical skill matters to us, but so does personality.
Balance is a professional practice with high standards, but we are also a close-knit, welcoming team that genuinely enjoys working together. We are looking for someone who takes excellent care of their clients, communicates well, is dependable and would enjoy becoming part of the culture we have created.
This could be an especially good fit for an established massage therapist who wants a beautiful place to see clients without opening and maintaining an entire studio of their own — or for a talented therapist ready to grow their clientele within an established practice.
If this sounds like the kind of environment you’ve been looking for, we’d love to meet you.
Please submit your résumé along with a brief introduction telling us about your massage background, the modalities you most enjoy providing, your general availability and whether you currently have an established clientele.
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
Benefits:
- Employee discount
- Flexible schedule
Application Question(s):
- Do you currently have an established massage clientele, and would you be interested in continuing to serve some or all of those clients from our downtown Pensacola Spa House?
