The Customer Service Representative, while reporting to the Sr. Director of Customer Service is responsible for supporting certain aspects of the sales, customer service, and cargo receiving at Centauri Transport. Support of internal and external clients, as well as new and developmental clients will be the primary focus of the Representative. Always maintaining a professional and industry appropriate demeanor, performing at the highest level of integrity and discipline, the Customer Service Representative will work collectively with other employees of the Company, assuring the Company meets its objectives. The Customer Service Representative must be a self-starter, able to follow direction as well as work independently.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Work with clients on a daily basis, responding to inquiries and assuring quality communication at all times
- Assure customer satisfaction
- Work responsibly within the Company, pursuing the best interests of the Company and clients alike
- Provide procurement support for general supplies, company materials and vessel provisions
- Be responsive to direction related to the Company's performance and impact upon client expectations
- Learn and understand the specific markets to which the Company operates
- Assure sales and marketing initiatives are supported as directed
- Support the Warehouse and Receiving Team and Local Market Agents
- Absolute discretion and confidentiality is to be maintained at all times
Education, Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred, AA is required
- Quick learner
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Working knowledge of transportation logistics and/or ocean shipping is preferred
- Experience in Customer Service is preferred
- IT fluency including proficiency in all Microsoft Office products
- Excellent communication skills, to include writing, speaking and listening
- Exhibited ability to proactively interpret information for both internal and external purposes
- Fluent in English
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
