Tesla is seeking a talented Sr. Piping Designer that is proficient in AutoCAD Plant 3D to join our team. What You'll Do-
Develop detailed piping layouts, equipment arrangements, routing studies, and piping general arrangement drawings for both greenfield and brownfield processing facilities

Prepare, check, and update piping deliverables including plot plans, equipment layouts, general arrangements, isometrics, tie-in drawings, support drawings, MTOs, underground routing drawings, and piping location plans

Perform and maintain 3D models using Plant 3D in accordance with P&IDs, project specifications, and design basis requirements

Identify design clashes, space constraints, access issues, and constructability concerns, and support resolution through model reviews and interdisciplinary coordination

Understand the fundamentals of process, utilities, slurry piping design and coordinate closely with Process, Mechanical, Stress, Civil/Structural, Instrumentation, Electrical, Construction, and Procurement teams

Raise and resolve technical queries, design clarifications, interface issues, change inputs in a timely manner, and respond to field Request for Information (RFIs)

Strong leadership and supervision of piping designers; ability to drive quality and schedule in a high-volume deliverable environment
What You'll Bring-
13+ years of total piping design experience

Proven capability to lead a team of designers (planning, supervision, checking, mentoring and performance support

Strong proficiency in creating ISOs, plans/sections, spool drawings, MTOs, checking piping packages and leading projects

Experience overseeing third party piping design contractors and/or multitask multiple projects at once
