Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Groups Facilitator Community Outreach Specialist to facilitate groups and community engagement initiatives. In this role, you will serve as a vital connector between our organization and diverse community groups, fostering meaningful relationships and empowering individuals through provision of non-therapeutic psycho-educational groups community outreach and collaborative efforts. This position is remote / in person hybrid with very regular travel to multiple local sites to carry out job duties and tasks but primary office location from home. This position serves St. Louis City and St. Louis, Jefferson, St. Charles, Counties in Missouri and surrounding areas and Sinclair and Madison Counties in Illinois and potential candidates for this position may reside within any of these areas.
This Groups Facilitator and Community Outreach Specialist position is primarily focused on the provision of non-therapeutic psycho-educational groups, education, and support services for youth and adults. This role will be responsible for implementing structured, trauma-informed, age and developmentally appropriate group curricula with survivors and at-risk populations. The position also includes support of community and school-based education and outreach initiatives and presentations. The Groups Facilitator will report directly to the Community Education Coordinator.

Duties include but not limited to:
- Facilitate psycho-educational groups for youth at-risk for online exploitation, child sexual abuse, or trafficking.
- Facilitate psycho-educational or support groups for adults with lived experiences of sexual exploitation and trafficking.
- Support the development, adaptation, and implementation of group curricula in alignment with Crisis Aid International’s Children’s Anti-Exploitation Partnership (CAP) program and U.S. Safe initiatives.
- Assist with community/school-based prevention education, awareness activities, and training events.
- Provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered facilitation that fosters safety, trust, and skill-building for participants.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support grant-related data collection.
- Represent Crisis Aid International at community outreach events, training, or awareness campaigns as assigned.
- Participate in Crisis Aid International activities, meetings, and training as requested.
- Contribute to fundraising and awareness efforts and events upon request.
Skills
- Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences confidently.
- · BA or BS in social services, psychology, education, criminal justice, or related field with 3 years of experience, OR a master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with related populations (survivors of child sexual abuse, trafficking, exploitation, at-risk youth, and/or vulnerable adults).
- Demonstrated experience facilitating psycho-educational or support groups.
- Strong group management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently as needed.
- Trauma-informed, culturally competent, and flexible in meeting the needs of diverse populations.
- Bilingual and or ASL proficiency is a plus but not required.
- Experience in youth programs teaching or social work enhances your ability to connect with various age groups.
- Strong organizational skills combined with excellent written communication abilities for reports and promotional materials.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
