Job Summary
Looking for a motivated individual to meet or exceed sales goals, cultivate strong relationships with customers and provide solutions to meet their flooring needs. Provide the customer with a personalized shopping experience by having knowledge of design and use of various floor covering options. Work with other staff to accommodate the customers needs. Have the ability to closely work with install crews to schedule installations. This job is commission based pay only (no commission cap)
Duties
- Engage with customers to understand their flooring needs, offering tailored solutions that align with their renovation or remodeling projects.
- Demonstrate product features through product demos, explaining benefits of different flooring types and maintenance requirements.
- Manage inside sales transactions using POS systems and handle cashing out processes efficiently while maintaining accuracy in retail math.
- Assist with merchandising to ensure the showroom remains attractive and well-organized for optimal customer engagement.
- Collaborate with clients on project planning, including layout design and technical specifications, to support their remodeling or construction initiatives.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, offering expert advice on product selection, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Support marketing efforts through product demos and promoting special offers to boost sales opportunities.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales, or construction sales with a focus on flooring or renovation products.
- Strong negotiation skills combined with the ability to upsell premium products confidently.
- Knowledge of remodeling processes, and general construction experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain product features and technical details to clients.
- Organizational skills for managing project timelines efficiently.
- Customer service orientation with a focus on deal closing and account management experience.
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations including discounts, pricing strategies, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure smooth transactions.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
