We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and understands that exceptional litigation support requires more than completing assigned tasks. It requires ownership, sound judgment, strong communication, meticulous documentation, and the ability to anticipate needs before they become problems.
The Litigation Paralegal plays a critical role in ensuring attorneys are prepared to effectively advocate for clients by maintaining organized case files, managing deadlines, coordinating litigation activities, and ensuring critical case information is accurately documented and communicated. The successful candidate takes pride in producing high-quality work, maintaining thorough case notes, identifying potential issues, and following through on commitments.

Job Type: Full-time in Office
Salary: $60,000.00 - $80,000 /year
Position Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM EST with an hour for lunch
Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation support functions from case assignment through resolution, ensuring attorneys have the information, documentation, and preparation needed to effectively represent clients.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely case notes that reflect case status, important developments, decisions made, deadlines, and necessary follow-up actions.
- Organize and maintain complete case files, ensuring documents and information are accessible, accurate, and up to date.
- Monitor litigation deadlines and proactively communicate upcoming requirements, potential concerns, and needed action items.
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, experts, attorneys, opposing counsel, medical providers, and other relevant parties to facilitate case progression.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with all parties while maintaining a high level of client service.
- Review case materials, medical records, discovery responses, and other documents to identify important facts, inconsistencies, missing information, and potential risks.
- Summarize and communicate critical case information to attorneys and appropriate team members.
- Assist with discovery, document production, exhibits, pleadings, and other litigation preparation.
- Prepare and organize materials for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial.
- Assist attorneys with drafting and reviewing litigation-related documents.
- Identify obstacles or delays and escalate concerns appropriately with potential solutions.
- Assist clients in obtaining medical care and support services when needed.
- Follow firm protocols, litigation procedures, and professional standards while exercising independent judgment.
- Collaborate with attorneys and team members to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients.
Skills and Qualifications:
- REQUIRED: 2 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal (Personal injury or family law litigation experience preferred)
- REQUIRED: Paralegal certificate
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures, deadlines, and case management
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create clear, thorough, and professional documentation
- Strong ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and independently move work forward
- Ability to recognize issues, evaluate next steps, and communicate concerns effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with clients and team members
- Compassion for clients and a genuine desire to assist them through difficult circumstances
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
