Job Overview
We are hiring a full-time Experienced Electrician to support the production of modular buildings and shipping container conversions in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for electrical work from rough-in through final installation, including conduit, wiring, outlets, fixtures, equipment connections, and testing.
This position may also helping oversee the quality, compliance, and overall work of the rough-in and electrical departments to help ensure units are completed safely and correctly.
This is an hourly, non-exempt production position working in a manufacturing environment. Work must be performed safely while meeting quality standards and daily production goals.
This position may develop into a lead role with responsibility for overseeing the work of the electrical / rough-in team.
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Fridays: Overtime as needed based on production demands
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and safe electrical work practices
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Identify hazards, quality concerns, or unsafe conditions and report them immediately
- Run electrical rough-in including conduit, boxes, panels, wiring, and circuit layout
- Bend, install, and secure conduit as required
- Pull wire and complete branch circuits properly
- Install outlets, switches, breakers, lighting, fixtures, and devices
- Complete final electrical trim-out including covers, plates, and finish items
- Perform electrical testing, startup checks, and troubleshooting
- Install HVAC-related components such as window units, Bard units, mini-splits, and vents
- Read and follow prints, layouts, and wiring diagrams
- Support production flow and help keep units moving on schedule
- Help monitor workmanship, code compliance, and completion of electrical work
- Assist in coordinating, training, and overseeing the work of the electrical / rough-in team as needed
Requirements
- Proven electrical installation experience required
- Residential electrical experience required
- Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Experience with conduit installation and wire pulling
- Ability to complete installs independently with limited supervision
- Ability to safely identify wiring, labels, markings, and components
- Ability to use electrical testing equipment such as meters and testers
- Ability to read prints, layouts, and wiring diagrams
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the shift
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, climb ladders, and work overhead as needed
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
- Team player mindset with willingness to support production needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience or potential to grow into a lead role
- Experience supervising or directing the work of others
- Experience in modular, manufactured housing, RV, or production construction
- HVAC installation experience including window units, Bard units, and mini-splits
- Strong troubleshooting skills
Pay
- Starting at $20.00 per hour
- Pay is based on experience, leadership ability, and overall skill level
