American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU (SICU) position in Santa Barbara, CA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and CA licensure.

Work in a 20-bed Surgical ICU (SICU) with an average daily census of 17
-
Adult patient population
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
-
Self-scheduling with 12 weekend shifts required per contract
-
On-call and floating are both required
-
EMR system: Epic; additional unit systems include Omnicell and SBAR
-
Active CA RN license required
-
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

TNCC preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a SICU or NICU setting required
-
Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
-
Experience with multi-system organ failure, EVD, and post-neurosurgery patient management
-
Experience caring for ventilated patients, including ventilator management and suctioning (ETT and NT)

Experience with isolation precautions and proper PPE use
-
COVID vaccination required

Two professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
