Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Shop Guy/Material Handler to join our dynamic shop team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing materials, handling shipments. Sheet Metal experience is a plus but will train the right person. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with Shop experience who thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, ensuring heavy lifting is performed safely and efficiently.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately,
- Manage inventory levels through regular stock counts, proper documentation.
- Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Maintain a clean, organized shop environment by properly storing materials on pallets or shelves and ensuring safe pathways are clear.
Qualifications
- Sheet metal experience a plus with knowledge of order picking, shipping & receiving processes.
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment required for material hand
- Familiarity with inventory.
- Strong work ethic.
- Basic math skills verifying quantities.
- Previous experience in shop role operations is a plus.
- Team Player.
