POSITION OVERVIEW
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping team at Nautilus 220. This role ensures that all common areas, amenities, and building interiors are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and luxury hospitality expectations.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you actively guide the team, inspect work, enforce standards, and ensure that every area of the property reflects the quality expectations of Black Briar Management.
At Nautilus 220, cleanliness is not optional—it is a standard of excellence, and the Housekeeping Manager ensures that standard is consistently met.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and support housekeeping staff on daily tasks and standards. Provide direction, real-time feedback, and ensure accountability in performance and execution. Lead by example and maintain a culture of pride in cleanliness and service.

Cleanliness & Standards: Ensure all common areas, lobbies, hallways, amenities, fitness areas, and back-of-house spaces are maintained at a consistently high standard. Establish and enforce cleaning procedures and ensure compliance across all shifts.

Scheduling & Coverage: Assist in coordinating daily schedules to ensure proper coverage of all areas. Adjust staffing assignments based on occupancy levels, events, and operational needs.

Quality Control & Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of all assigned areas to ensure quality standards are met. Identify deficiencies, correct issues immediately, and document findings as needed.

Inventory & Supplies: Monitor housekeeping supply levels and report shortages. Ensure proper use, storage, and handling of cleaning materials and equipment.

Equipment Oversight: Ensure all housekeeping equipment is maintained in proper working condition. Report repairs or replacements as needed to avoid service disruption.

Resident Service: Respond to resident and management requests in a timely and professional manner. Ensure all concerns are addressed with urgency and a service-first mindset.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to OSHA standards and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Promote a safe working environment for all team members.

Reporting: Maintain communication with management regarding staffing needs, operational challenges, and daily performance updates.
WHAT YOU BRING

3–5 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel, residential luxury community, or hospitality environment

At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role

Strong knowledge of cleaning standards, sanitation practices, and housekeeping operations

Ability to lead and motivate frontline staff effectively

Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation standards

Ability to work in a fast-paced, service-driven environment

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed

High school diploma or equivalent required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout a full shift in an active building environment

Ability to lift, carry, and manage cleaning equipment, supplies, and materials up to 40 lbs.

Ability to handle and properly manage cleaning chemicals and supplies in accordance with SDS protocols

Comfort working across diverse building environments including pool deck, fitness facilities, and back-of-house spaces
