Patient Care Coordinator
Milestones Pediatric Therapy is a small pediatric outpatient therapy clinic providing speech therapy, occupational therapy, and applied behavior analysis. We are looking for a Patient Care Coordinator with strong interpersonal skills and great organizational habits who is motivated and can easily perform the day-to-day functions to keep the office running efficiently. This position requires taking initiative, problem-solving, flexibility in order to perform a variety of work tasks in a highly supportive work environment. We work hard to make sure our team knows they are appreciated and maintain a fun, supportive work environment. Successful candidates must enjoy kids and not be bothered by the loud noises they often make! In this role you will be working closely with the clinic director to assist in training and overseeing front desk support staff, communicating with therapists and physicians as needed, and making sure that all the daily, monthly, yearly tasks are being completed accurately and in a timely manner. Candidates in this position have the opportunity for significant upward growth within the organization. Pay is determined by experience.
Patient Care Coordinator Primary Duties and Responsibilities
● Schedule and oversee front desk staff
● Supervise the creation of patient records
● Assist with insurance authorizations
● Maintain provider schedules
● Ensure compliance with HIPAA as well as internal policies
● Manage patient intakes and scheduling
● Communicate with patients, physicians, billing company, and insurance companies
● Assist clinic director with development and implementation of policies and procedures
Patient Care Coordinator Requirements and Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a relevant field OR Associate degree OR equivalent experience.
● Experience with medical billing
● Familiarity with medical terminology
● Organizational skills with strong attention to detail
● Computer skills including EHR
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
