Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team for a specific project with a large potential for future work. We are a company that travels the east half of the country installing millwork & fixture packages in retail stores, restaurants, and hotels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry. Commercial experience a plus. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties
- Assemble and install display fixtures, casework, shelving, fitting rooms, and finish work throughout the sales floor and back of house.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various carpentry tasks.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry roles.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
- Strong skills in using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Pay & schedule
- Pay is $20–$24/hr depending on experience.
- The schedule is five 8-hour shifts a week (Mon–Fri), full-time.
- The position is for the duration of the project (6-7 weeks), with the potential for steady work, including travel work, on Allied Millwork's next builds.
