About the Opportunity
Out client is a growing environmental and civil construction contractor is seeking a Construction Foreman to oversee field operations on earthwork, remediation, and infrastructure-related projects. This role is responsible for leading crews, coordinating daily activities, maintaining safety compliance, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to specification.

Primary Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate daily field operations to maintain project schedules and productivity goals.

Organize labor, equipment, and materials to support planned work activities.

Assign tasks and provide guidance to field personnel throughout project execution.

Communicate project status, resource needs, and field challenges to project leadership.

Monitor workforce attendance, performance, and overall crew effectiveness.

Prepare and maintain daily reports, field documentation, and project records.

Lead daily safety briefings and reinforce safe work practices on-site.

Ensure compliance with company safety programs, environmental requirements, and regulatory standards.

Coordinate activities involving subcontractors, suppliers, and material deliveries.

Serve as a point of contact for clients, inspectors, and other project stakeholders when required.

Oversee the operation and utilization of construction equipment and tools.

Monitor project resources and assist with tracking material usage and deliveries.

Identify field issues and implement practical solutions to keep work progressing.

Support projects involving environmentally sensitive conditions, including remediation and impacted-site work.

Perform quality control inspections and verify work meets project requirements.

Maintain accurate as-built documentation and project records.

Document project progress through written reports and photographic records.

Train, mentor, and support the development of field personnel.

Participate in field activities as needed and lead by example on the jobsite.

Assist with additional project-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

At least 5 years of construction experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or crew leadership role.

Strong understanding of field construction practices, equipment operation, and project execution.

Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and construction drawings.

Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification or 8-Hour Refresher preferred; training may be available for qualified candidates.

Proven ability to manage field operations on complex or fast-paced construction projects.

Strong decision-making, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

Effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse field teams.

Excellent communication skills and professionalism when interacting with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Working knowledge of construction safety requirements and environmental compliance standards.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions and perform physical job duties when necessary.
Preferred Background

Experience in environmental construction, remediation, civil construction, underground utilities, or earthwork projects.

Background managing subcontractors, vendor coordination, and multi-crew job sites.

Familiarity with project tracking, quality control processes, and field reporting requirements.
