Position Overview
The Night Janitorial & Events Support Team Member is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and event-ready facilities while providing hands-on support for evening events. This role ensures event spaces are prepared before, during, and after events by performing custodial duties, room setups, breakdowns, and general facility support. This position is often the last or only staff member on campus and is responsible for locking up the facilities at the end of rental events. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
· Clean and sanitize event spaces, restrooms, common areas, and back-of-house facilities.
· Monitor event spaces and campus grounds during events for cleanliness, safety, and compliance.
· Respond promptly to spills, trash removal, and other custodial needs.
· Assist with crowd management and direct guests to appropriate venues.
· Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies (e.g., medical, fire, power outages).
· Set up and break down tables, chairs, staging and other event equipment according to event specifications.
· Prepare clear and consistent end-of-shift reports.
· Operate and troubleshoot basic AV equipment (or be willing to learn).
· Lock and secure facilities after events conclude.
Qualifications
· Experience in janitorial or facilities work preferred
· Flexibility to adapt to changing event needs and priorities.
· Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
· Reliable transportation and flexible evening/weekend availability.
· Must complete first aid events training within six months of hire.
Additional Position Information:
· This is a part-time, hourly position that works a schedule of 24 hours per week.
· Working predominately Fri-Sun with the ability to flex schedule with events, if needed.
· Hours are 5pm -1am with the ability to flex schedule with events, if needed.

· Compensation range is $21-$23 per hour, depending on experience
