Driver/Bell Person
Company Overview:
The Crowne Plaza AiRE Hotel in Bloomington, MN is looking for a customer-focused person to drive hotel guests and apartment tenants to and from the MSP Airport. Shifts needed are 7pm - 1am Wednesday and Thursday and 11am - 7pm Saturday and Sunday. If you are interested in any of these shifts please apply.
Role Overview:
- Escort by Shuttle Van arriving and departing guests in a friendly, courteous manner to and from their accommodations, transporting their luggage. Acquaint each guest with room and features.
- Driving Shuttle Bus Runs Retrieve guest items from cars, airport, vans, and carts.
- Grasp, lift, carry and/or load luggage and packages onto a bell cart to transport items throughout the hotel to the designated room.
- Navigate the bell carts through public areas, guest room corridors and to elevators. Requires physical stamina to stand, lift, carry and walk continuously for the duration of shift.
- Escort customers to accommodations, visually inspect the room and telephone any deficiencies such as missing towels to housekeeping immediately.
- Point out room features and directory for reference.
- Organize and store luggage as necessary in a designated area.
- Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice.
- Answer questions and offer assistance giving accurate information regarding outlet hours, other hotel services, directions to local attractions or function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc.
- Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Remain calm and attentive, especially during heavy hotel activity and emergencies.
- Read and match luggage tags, write claim tickets and detach portion to give to the guest.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
- Must have a valid MN driver's license, CDL/Class B Required, or able to obtain within 90 days.
- Minimum of 2 years' driving experience.
- Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record)
- Must be able to work a part time schedule, as the hours available for this position are: Sunday through Thursday from 7 PM to 12>00 AM.
- Ability to effectively listen and communicate with internal and external customers
- Ability to stand and move throughout the property and perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Command of the English language both written and verbal.
