Class A/B 4-Car Tow Truck Carrier Driver
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Class A/B 4-Car Tow Truck Carrier Driver to join our team. The driver will be responsible for safely operating a 4-car carrier to transport vehicles, ensuring secure loading and unloading, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a professional attitude, strong driving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class A or Class B 4-car tow truck carrier to transport vehicles to and from dealerships, auctions, customers, and other designated locations.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles using proper safety procedures and equipment.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, trailer, and securement equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inspections, vehicle condition reports, and other required documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with customers, dealerships, dispatch, and other business partners.
- Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Ensure all transported vehicles are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean, fueled, and properly maintained, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding schedules, route updates, and delivery status.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience operating a vehicle transport carrier or commercial truck preferred but not required (training may be provided for qualified candidates).
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe cargo securement practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and make safe, sound decisions under pressure.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.
- Ability to safely load, unload, and secure multiple vehicles on a 4-car carrier.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
