Overview
A Food Server / Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, processing payments, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders accurately and enter them into the POS system
- Answer questions about menu items, specials, and ingredients
- Ensure customer satisfaction through attentive service
Cash Handling
- Operate cash registers and POS systems
- Process cash, credit, debit, and mobile payments
- Issue receipts and provide correct change
- Maintain accuracy and integrity in all financial transactions
Food Service
- Serve food and beverages according to company standards
- Assist with food preparation or assembly when needed
- Ensure food items meet quality and safety standards
- Package takeout or delivery orders neatly and correctly
Cleanliness & Safety
- Keep workstations, dining areas, and counters clean and organized
- Follow health, sanitation, and safety regulations
- Restock supplies such as utensils, napkins, condiments, and cups
Teamwork
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service
- Support team members during busy shifts
- Communicate clearly about customer needs or concerns

Skills & Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast‑paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong multitasking abilities
- Previous experience in food service or retail is a plus (but not always required)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs when needed
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
Pay: $9.00 - $10.00 per hour
