Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, mixers, and food processors
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen tools to uphold food safety standards
- Support meal preparation for various service periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catering events
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and effective communication during busy periods
- Follow food handling procedures diligently to ensure safety and quality control throughout the production process

Qualifications
- minimum 3 years Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production
- Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and food industry best practices
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for efficient ingredient prep
- Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with kitchen staff and supporting team efforts
- Experience with catering and gatherings;
