Customer Service Representative Role Description:
The Customer Service Representative is responsible to maintain accurate and complete customer sales order and release schedules. They are to communicate with customer on a regular basis to ensure customer satisfaction.
Customer Service Representative Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains customer related files for all purchase orders and release records.

Maintains an accurate and complete sales order file for each customer.

Pulls and updates EDI communications daily as required.

Ensure that weekly releases for each customer are entered and updated as received.

Reconciles Customer CUMs weekly. Complete CUM roll end of year per customer process.

Review inventory levels on parts daily to ensure customer demands are covered. Coordinate with inventory control any suspect items or variances report by shipping.

Projects weekly product shortages to production & outside service schedulers.

Coordinates customer requirements with production scheduler & and outside service scheduler to ensure that customer are shipped on time and according to schedule.

Coordinates jobs balance out with production scheduling to ensure the avoidance of obsolescence claims and inventory levels.

Coordinates all engineering changes to avoid obsolescence.

Orders and monitors expendable packaging needs for production in accordance of customer requirements

Plans and schedules daily shipping requirements.

Complete customer specific shipping documents such as Pro-forma Invoices and SLI’s

Updates, monitors and maintains customer shipping schedules

Coordinates all customer related activities with purchasing, production, quality, engineering, accounting and shipping.

Communicates and coordinates with customer any productions matters that related to their schedules.

Provide logistical support for customer container programs and ensures appropriate levels of containers stock is available to support production.

Builds and maintains excellent working relationships with customers

Alerts production to potential problem areas in regards to customer needs.

Ensures that ASN transmissions are done in a timely fashion to meet customer requirements

Coordinates with MIS department all customer EDI requirements and assists with testing and development when necessary.

Participates in the year-end physical inventory

Participates in maintenance of IATF16949 standards

Working Safely as a condition of employment.

Work with Accounting regarding open Receivables and invoice discrepancies weekly

Provide on-call support for customers and E&E shipping department

Book expedites as required; Maintain premium freight log
-
Complete customer related complaints and required paperwork (DMR’s, STR’s, shortages, etc.)

Other duties as assigned
Education:
-
Associates degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
-
2-4 years of related experience. Experience in an automotive manufacturing setting is preferred. '
Certifications:
-
American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS - CPIM) preferred.
