Covelo Group is hiring school-based Behavior Technician Floaters to support K-12 students across multiple school sites in the Walnut Creek, CA area.
As a Float Behavior Technician, you will be assigned to different campuses based on district staffing needs. This is a district-wide support position rather than a role tied to one permanent school. You must be able to travel to and accept assignments at any designated school site within the district.
The role offers steady weekday hours along with the opportunity to work with a wider range of students, classrooms, behavioral needs, and school teams. It is a strong fit for someone who adapts well, enjoys variety, and wants to build broader school-based behavioral support experience.

What You’ll Do
- Provide one-on-one and small-group behavioral support to K-12 students
- Travel to assigned school sites based on daily district needs
- Support students in different classrooms and campus environments
- Reinforce positive behaviors and classroom expectations
- Follow behavior intervention plans, IEP strategies, and 504 accommodations
- Track and document student progress throughout the day
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, school staff, and clinical teams
- Adapt quickly to different students, schedules, and school routines
What You’ll Need
- High school diploma or GED
- ABA, behavioral support, classroom, or related experience required
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel to any assigned school within the district
- Flexibility to work at different campuses based on staffing needs
- Ability to work consistently during school hours
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
