Duties
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to expedite food preparation, ensuring timely delivery of orders to guests
- Plate dishes according to presentation standards and communicate special requests or modifications clearly to the kitchen team
- Organize and prioritize food orders based on timing, table location, and order complexity to optimize service flow
- Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in the service area to uphold food safety standards
- Communicate effectively with servers, cooks, and management to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
- Support food preparation tasks when needed, including basic cooking or assembling dishes for expedited service
- Use POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to track orders and manage table assignments efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic numeracy skills for order accuracy and POS system operation
- Organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple orders simultaneously
- Experience with food expediting or banquet service is a plus but not mandatory
