Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Access Control Officer to manage entry points during evening and weekend shifts. This role involves controlling access to designated facilities, monitoring security systems, and ensuring safety protocols are upheld. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong observational skills, excellent conflict management abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment through diligent surveillance and communication.
Duties
- Authorize and verify the access of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to the facility.
- Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity around entry points and sensitive areas.
- Perform security checks on individuals entering or leaving the premises, ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders as needed.
- Maintain detailed logs of all access activities, incidents, and surveillance footage for record-keeping purposes.
- Enforce loss prevention measures by monitoring for suspicious behavior and preventing theft or unauthorized access.
- Assist in conflict management by de-escalating tense situations with professionalism and tact.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of CCTV operation, surveillance techniques, and loss prevention strategies.
- Experience in law enforcement, military security, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform first aid and CPR in emergency situations.
- Excellent conflict management skills with a calm and assertive demeanor.
- Familiarity with security protocols, CCTV systems, and access control technology.
