American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 3+ years of recent ED experience and a California RN license.

Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital
-
Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
-
36 or 48-hour schedules can be accommodated
-
Facility staffs according to departmental needs and does not accommodate block or special scheduling requests

Active California RN license required
-
Minimum 2 years of ED experience required, 3 or more years preferred
-
Recent ED experience required
-
Current BLS certification required (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS)
-
Current ACLS certification required (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS)
-
Current PALS certification required (AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS)
-
BSN preferred
-
Prior acute care facility experience preferred

Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned patients according to established standards and the nursing process
-
Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care across disciplines
-
Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses and care needs
-
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans to promote health and safety
-
Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, humane, and caring treatment
-
Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning for continuity of care

Delegate duties appropriately and coordinate healthcare team responsibilities
-
Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction, and local rates match travel rates

Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered

Candidates with a prior disciplinary action on their license will not be considered
