Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Manager to lead our retail team with enthusiasm and strategic insight. Duties
- Lead and supervise retail staff, including hiring, training, and developing team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales opportunities
- Implement effective sales management techniques to meet or exceed sales targets and improve overall store performance
- Conduct employee orientation sessions, interviewing candidates, and facilitating ongoing training & development initiatives
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction
- Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and budgeting activities to maintain financial health of the store
Requirements
- Proven management experience within the retail industry, particularly in sales team supervision and store operations management
- Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, and recruiting to build a motivated team
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse customers and staff
- Demonstrated experience with inventory management systems, POS systems, cash handling, and operational procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of retail math for pricing strategies, sales analysis, and budgeting purposes
- Supervising experience in retail stores or grocery environments preferred; familiarity with retail industry sales techniques essential
- Effective managerial communication skills coupled with leadership qualities that motivate teams toward shared goals
- Basic math proficiency for bookkeeping, cashiering, and inventory control tasks
- Phone etiquette skills for professional customer interactions both in person and over the phone
