Description:
Under the supervision of the Clinical Director , the Counselor I facilitates treatment and assists the treatment team to which they are assigned. The Counselor I will work closely with all members of the clinical and administrative staff to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for all clients. The Counselor I will monitor urine drug screens, work to ensure safe transactions between sessions, and assist as a member of the treatment team in facilitating group and other therapeutic activities. The Counselor I is responsible for providing daily written documentation on the progress of all assigned clients each day. Must have a Master's degree, be licensed or license eligible. Must be able to work as a team.
Requirements:
- Provides individual, group, and experiential therapy in the integrated sober living residential model

Plans and implements the treatment therapy schedules

Develop an initial and updated treatment plans for each client assigned to you in accordance with DSAMH and CARF standards.

Actively participates in and facilitates group therapy

Responsible for all treatment progress notes, tracking daily progress and behavior of clients in treatment to be reviewed and co-signed by the Clinical Director

Is required to complete one hour of clinical supervision per week with Clinical Supervisor/Director for every 20 hours of direct client contact.

One year supervised experience in Substance Use Disorder/Mental Health setting
