Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our Acute Care team.
Schedule: PRN
Shift: Day (at least 2 weekend shifts per month and one holiday per year)
Orientation is during the week. Flexible, but prefer employee is available for at least 3 consecutive days for orientation.

- Weekday coverage can choose length of PRN shift from 4-8 hours (holidays are 8 hours).
- If employee prefers later coverage, they may schedule shift up to 8pm.
Physical Therapist Job Responsibilities:
- Documents the results of evaluations clearly and completely by including all essential elements according to department policy.
- Completes daily progress notes that reflect patients' responses to treatment, actual performance, and an assessment as to status relevant to the treatment plan in addition to eventual discharge needs and treatment summaries if needed.
- Completes discharge notes that include a summary of the course of treatment, progress toward goals, discharge needs, recommendations for follow-up and patient and/or family education.
- Documents clearly, concisely and legibly within established timeframes (e.g. allows other therapists to continue treatment, allows for interpretation by payers, supports reimbursements).
- Documents evidence of patient and family/caregiver education.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) Upon Start.
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
- Physical Therapist Upon Start; VA licensure or compact privileges are acceptable.
- At least 1 year of experience as an Acute Care Physical Therapist (PT).
Pay: $56.65 per hour
