Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Male-only Caregivers to join our team and provide exceptional support to residents in a variety of care settings. This vital role involves assisting individuals with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their well-being in a respectful and nurturing environment. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and dignity
- Support residents with mobility using manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts and transfer belts
- Monitor vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status and report changes promptly
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging residents in social activities to enhance mental well-being
- Maintain cleanliness by assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident rooms and common areas
- Document care activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and ensure compliance with care plans
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory care, geriatrics, and behavior management techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual transfers with proper techniques
- Familiarity with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and emergency response procedures including CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in group home or community settings
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, residents, and families
- Competence in using EMR systems for documentation and reporting purposes
