Join our vibrant preschool team as an Afternoon Caregiver & Aide, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children. In this role, you will supervise children during afternoon hours, and assist with their developmental needs. You will also be responsible for upkeeping health and safety standards by making sure the campus is clean and reset for each day. Your positive energy and attentive care will foster a love for learning and ensure each child's well-being is prioritized. Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Assist with classroom management to maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment
- Support children during snack time, outdoor play, nap time, and other daily routines
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's achievements, behavior, and needs
- Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures when necessary
- Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to plan fun, educational activities that foster growth and curiosity
Skills
- Experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings a plus
- First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- A kind heart
- Strong behavior management skills
- Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities or special needs
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
- Compassionate caregiving attitude with patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for working with young children
- Experience in toddler care, babysitting, nannying or similar roles is highly valued

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
