Duties
- Operate laundry equipment to wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and Resident clothing efficiently and safely.
- Follow proper chemical handling procedures when using cleaning agents and disinfectants to ensure safety and compliance with OSHA standards.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks across the community, including floor care, surface sanitation, and waste disposal, utilizing appropriate cleaning equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols during manual handling and heavy lifting activities to prevent injuries and maintain a safe workspace.
- Maintain cleanliness of Resident apartments, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas according to sanitation standards.
Skills
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to chemical handling, manual handling, and workplace safety.
- Experience with assisted living, nursing home, or healthcare facilities housekeeping, janitorial tasks, or commercial cleaning environments.
- Proficiency in operating laundry machinery and cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with residents, staff, and guests when delivering linens or assisting with cleaning requests.
- Familiarity with environmental services procedures, hospital housekeeping standards, and janitorial best practices for maintaining a clean environment.
