Position: Sales Associate
Reports to: Assistant Manager; Store Manager
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Full-time/Part-time: Part-time, 15-19 hrs./week
The Sales Associate is responsible for ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. This will be accomplished by providing a warm welcome to the store; maintaining a clean, well-organized, well-stocked sales floor; locating desired items on the sales floor; fast friendly and accurate processing of purchases; assisting in other areas of the store and warehouse, as needed. The Sales Associate will be cross-trained in all areas of the production and retail environment to include, but not limited to providing excellent customer service, cash-handling procedures, processing donated goods, sorting, pricing and stocking.

Essential Function 1: Sales Floor Coverage
Process sales transactions, accurately and efficiently collecting payments.
Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and promoting roundups.
Ensure the accuracy of the cash drawer at beginning and end of day.
Maintain assigned areas of the store to ensure areas are clean, organized, and customer friendly.
Stock and merchandise sales floor as directed by team leads or management.
Essential Function 2: Processing Coverage
Provide fast, friendly service to donors by accepting and unloading their donated goods.
Receive and sort donations, evaluating and pricing under team lead oversight.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the processing area.
Help move product through processing, and stock and merchandise as directed.
Assist processing staff with organization of donated goods in appropriate places.
Answer customer questions and assist customers as needed.

This position functions in a thrift store and warehouse setting where medium duty equipment such as forklifts are in use; appropriate safety considerations will be required to avoid injury.
Ability to lift loads up to 50 lbs.

This position works in a recovery-adjacent environment and requires adherence to professional boundaries, respectful workplace conduct, and organizational policies.
