About the Role
We're looking for a versatile Medical Assistant to support both clinical and front-desk operations. This hybrid role covers patient intake, vitals, CLIA-waived testing, injections, and EKGs, plus front desk duties like check-in, insurance verification, and payment collection. X-ray responsibilities are included upon BXMO certification.
Responsibilities
- Room patients, take vitals, assist with procedures under provider delegation
- Perform CLIA-waived point-of-care testing, injections, and EKGs
- Front desk: check-in/check-out, phone management, scheduling, insurance verification, payment collection
- Operate X-ray equipment and maintain radiation safety standards (upon BXMO certification)
- Maintain accurate documentation in UrgentIQ EMR
Requirements
- 1+ years of medical assisting or healthcare front desk experience
- CMA certification preferred, not required
- Spanish language proficiency preferred — helps us better serve our East Orlando community
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, small-clinic environment wearing multiple hats
Preferred
- Florida BXMO (Basic X-ray Machine Operator) certification, or willingness to obtain it
- We support certification with exam fee reimbursement and flexible scheduling
Pay & Perks
- Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)
- Daily patient volume bonus: +$1/hr at 26–35 patients seen, +$2/hr at 36+
