HVAC Lead Installer
Jacob Heating & Cooling is looking for an experienced and dependable HVAC Lead Installer to join our team. The Lead Installer will be responsible for leading residential HVAC installations from start to finish while maintaining high standards for workmanship, safety, efficiency, and customer service.

What You'll Do:
Lead Residential HVAC Installations
- Install HVAC equipment, ductwork, accessories, and related components according to company standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure installations are completed safely, correctly, and efficiently.
- Test equipment and verify proper operation before leaving the job.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Complete thorough cleanup at the end of every installation.
- Follow applicable building codes, safety procedures, and company standards.
Lead & Develop Your Crew
- Lead and direct Install Helpers throughout the workday.
- Review the job scope and assign responsibilities before each installation.
- Train Helpers on installation procedures, safety practices, and company expectations.
- Provide coaching and constructive feedback to help team members develop their skills.
- Monitor job progress and adjust workflow to keep installations moving efficiently.
- Communicate job progress, delays, concerns, and completion updates with the Install Manager.
Provide an Exceptional Customer Experience
- Represent Jacob Heating & Cooling professionally in every customer's home.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with homeowners throughout the installation.
- Protect customers' homes and maintain a clean workspace.
- Answer basic customer questions and assist with final walkthroughs when needed.
- Help customers understand their new equipment and available company services.
Complete Job Documentation
- Complete required documentation in Housecall Pro before leaving each job.
- Take and upload required installation photos.
- Accurately record equipment model and serial numbers.
- Complete installation checklists and required job notes.
- Document job issues, customer concerns, and recommended follow-up work.
- Ensure each installation is properly closed out.
Maintain Tools, Vehicles & Materials
- Keep company vehicles clean and organized.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Verify required materials and equipment are available before beginning each job.
- Report missing or damaged tools and equipment.
- Assist with warehouse organization when needed.
