Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cabinet Installer/Maker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, assembling, and installing custom cabinets and related millwork with precision and attention to detail. Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install custom cabinets, countertops, and millwork according to detailed construction plans and schematics
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication and installation
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete woodworking tasks such as trimming, sanding, caulking, and finishing
- Perform framing, metal stud work, drywall installation, and plastering as needed for cabinet mounting or related projects
- Conduct site inspections to verify measurements, alignment, and quality of finished work while adhering to safety protocols such as power tool safety and heavy lifting procedures
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other tradespeople to coordinate installation schedules and ensure seamless project flow
- Assist with restoration projects involving water damage remediation, mold remediation, or structural repairs when required
Skills
- Extensive experience in carpentry, including trim carpentry, framing, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, roofing, siding, and masonry
- Proficiency in reading construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for precise fabrication and installation
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and the ability to interpret construction plans accurately
- Skilled in using hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers) and power tools (drills, sanders) with a focus on safety practices such as power tool safety protocols
- Experience with woodworking machinery including CNC equipment for fabrication tasks
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical experience, metal stud framing, rebar installation, concrete forming or plastering is a plus for versatile project support
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely while maintaining proper body mechanics during demanding tasks such as heavy lifting or rebar installation
- Familiarity with restoration industry standards including water damage restoration or mold remediation techniques
- Capable of fixture installation including cabinetry hardware or custom fixtures in renovation settings
- Handyman experience that encompasses general repair work across multiple trades enhances flexibility on diverse projects
