Job Summary
The Cannabis Gummy Packaging Associate is responsible for accurately packaging cannabis-infused gummy products in compliance with state regulations, company policies, and quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to sanitation and safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Package cannabis-infused gummies according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Inspect products for quality, consistency, appearance, and proper dosage before packaging.
- Label, seal, and prepare products in accordance with state cannabis regulations and company standards.
- Verify package counts, weights, batch numbers, and expiration dates for accuracy.
- Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), sanitation procedures, and all cannabis regulatory requirements.
- Operate and clean packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Record production and packaging data accurately.
- Assist with inventory counts of packaging supplies and finished products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary production workspace.
- Report product defects, equipment issues, or compliance concerns to supervisors immediately.
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- MUST be at least 21 years old
- Previous manufacturing, packaging, food production, or cannabis industry experience is preferred but not required.
- Must meet all state requirements for employment in a licensed cannabis facility
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Dependable with excellent attendance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for 8–10 hours per shift.
- Frequent repetitive hand movements and manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift up to 30–50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of cannabis compliance regulations and METRC (or applicable state tracking system) is a plus.
- Familiarity with food safety, GMP, HACCP, or quality control procedures.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
