About Us: Rosendahl is a family-owned and operated Pedorthic Facility with over 50 years of experience providing relief to people suffering from foot pain. We specialize in the design, manufacture, modification, and fitting of footwear—including shoes, orthotics, and foot devices—to prevent or alleviate foot problems caused by disease, congenital defects, overuse, or injury. Our services include comfort shoes, medical / diabetic shoes, custom-made footwear, arch supports, custom ankle-foot-orthotics, foot prostheses and compression garments. What Does Becoming a Certified Pedorthist Mean?
Once trained and certified as a C.Ped, you will:
- Be knowledgeable in human anatomy and gait.
- Understand diseases that affect mobility and independence.
- Master footwear and foot orthotic design and their impact on mobility and gait.
- Learn foot orthotic manufacturing techniques and material selection.
- Gain expertise in diagnosis codes and procedure codes used by insurance companies for product descriptions.
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, chiropractors, and other healthcare providers.
- Apply different foot and leg casting techniques.
- Work directly with patients to develop personalized solutions to their foot problems.
- Combine your understanding of material sciences and patient care to make a tangible impact on mobility and quality of life.
Position Overview: Starting as a Shoe Sales Associate, you’ll help customers find the right solutions for their footwear needs. You’ll also assist in various store operations, from inventory control to merchandising, while laying the foundation for a rewarding career in pedorthics. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about helping others and interested in pursuing further education and certifications in this specialized field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting and purchasing "comfort" related products.
- Manage inventory control, ordering, receiving, and returns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store.
- Create engaging in-store displays and merchandising.
Job Details:
- Location: 2102 Caldwell Blvd. Ste 116 Nampa ID
- Schedule: Tues – Fri 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM; Sat 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Pay: Starting at $21.50/hour, based on experience
- Expected Hours: 40 per week
Qualifications:
- Associate degree preferred but not necessary.
- Proficient in retail sales, stocking, and cash handling.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to perform basic math and retail calculations.
- Experience with POS systems and cash registers.
- Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency is advantageous.
Physical Demands: This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. Employees must frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
